The other day, I heard these words: “Don’t fear failure but be terrified of regret”. And it hit me, how often do we let fear dictate our choices?
The truth is, failure is not the enemy, inaction is. Failure teaches, strengthens, refines. Regret? It lingers. It whispers, what if? long after the moment has passed.
And what is it that we truly fear? The biggest fear is the pain of a hurt ego, but that’s the biggest conspiracy of all. What is a bruised ego compared to a life half-lived? We fear it, but it’s empty. We don’t die from a hurt ego, it doesn’t last forever, and nothing truly bad happens from it. In fact, only goodness emerges if we see it as an opportunity—to detach from false beliefs and release the image we’ve created of ourselves.
What have you been avoiding? That conversation you know you need to have? That dream you’ve put on hold for “someday”? That leap you want to take but keep talking yourself out of?
What if the very thing you fear—the failure, the rejection, the embarrassment is actually the door to the life you’ve been waiting for? What if everything you desire is on the other side of letting go?
Whatever you’ve been postponing, let this be your sign and invitation to start now
