I Know How To Free Myself From Taking Responsibility For Other People & Live Without Taking Responsibility For Other People

This week’s affirmation is a reminder to let go,  inspired by a powerful session I had  with a client.🥰

Taking responsibility for others is often a coping mechanism we developed as children, usually as an attempt to feel safe, make our parents happy, or simply be seen and appreciated.

While it may have helped us survive difficult situations in the past, this learned pattern can hold us back as adults.

The problem is that when we take on the weight of solving everyone’s challenges or absorbing their emotions, we lose sight of our authentic selves. In fact, we can become so busy carrying burdens that aren’t ours to bear that we stop showing up for our purpose, our goals, and our dreams.

Here’s a perspective that our younger selves perhaps didn’t have: we were never the cause of our parents’ troubles, and we were never the solution to their problems.

💡 Let this sink in:

Not only was I not the problem, I was also not the solution

It’s time to release what isn’t ours to carry and make space for our true selves to thrive ✨

And remember, stealing is against the law, including people’s burdens and emotions 🤣
