The other day, a friend casually asked me, “What did you do this summer?” I think she was expecting the usual: “I went on vacation, I rested, had fun, BBQed, spent time with friends and family…” All beautiful blessings, of course.
But instead, I found myself sharing something entirely different:
- I wrote a book.
- I grew my first vegetable garden.
- I did my first FB live 20-minute talk.
- I prepared for my first speaking competition.
- I appeared as a guest on a podcast for the first time to talk about my book.
Her reaction was one of pure astonishment. She looked at me, eyes wide, and said, “Wow, you had an epic summer!“
That moment made me reflect. This summer wasn’t just about the usual fun with family and friends or BBQs and riverside walks.
It was a “first-time summer,” filled with unique and meaningful new experiences.
Without much thought, I had embraced new challenges and adventures, just two months shy of turning 50.
My heart overflows with joy and gratitude because these experiences brought tremendous growth and a deep sense of fulfillment. Even more, I felt the divine guidance every step of the way.
I choose to welcome new, aligned, and graceful experiences into my life, now and always.
