I recently heard something at the EntreLeadership conference that hasn’t left my heart.
Dave Ramsey quoted a line from David Lapin’s book that I can’t stop thinking about:
- How do you feel as a parent when one of your kids helps another one of your kids? When you see mercy among siblings, your heart melts as a parent.
- Well, the same principle applies for God. When God sees one of His children helping another one of His children, it pleases Him.
- It is through business that we serve each other. You please God when you help one of His children by serving them with your business. So business should be viewed with a higher purpose as a noble endeavor.
What a powerful reframe.🤗
Business isn’t just about scaling revenue or closing deals, it’s about mercy. Service. Impact.
Every time you solve a problem, ease a burden, or uplift someone through your work, you’re helping one of God’s children. And that pleases Him🙏
Here’s my invitation: This week, let that truth settle deep.
Let it transform the way you see your business.
And lead from a place that honors the sacred opportunity to serve.
Because business, at its best, is mercy in motion.
