I Know How To Bless Myself for a Good Year

As we step into the new year, many of us paused on December 31st to bless our loved ones.

We wished them happiness, health, peace, and prosperity. It’s a beautiful and meaningful tradition.

And yet, there’s a quiet question worth asking:

How often do we extend that same quality of blessing toward ourselves?

We know that blessings carry immense power far greater than curses.

And still, without realizing it, many of us spend our days doing the opposite: speaking to ourselves with doubt, criticism, or harsh judgment. Not intentionally but habitually.

This year, I’d love to invite you to gently flip that pattern.

As we enter 2026, what if you chose to bless yourself consciously, daily, and with reverence?

Here is a simple practice to begin.

Write your own Self Blessing. You can use this structure as a guide:

  • Creator, thank you for my life. Thank you for the blessings already present.
  • I bless myself that I…
  • I bless myself for…
  • I bless myself that I…
  • Thank you, Creator, for everything that I am, everything I am becoming, everything I have, and everything I am about to receive.
  • Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Read your blessing each morning, each evening, or both. Let it become a quiet ritual, a moment to align with gratitude, compassion, and trust.

Words shape our inner world. And the more we use the language of blessing with ourselves, the more we begin to feel and live the reality those blessings create.

May this year begin with an honoring of the divine within you.

May love and gratitude be your guide.
